The Fryette GP/DI Desktop Recording Amplifier is a low power ALL-TUBE guitar amplifier, preamp, direct box and an all-round solution for playing at low volume.

The GP/DI is specifically designed for use in situations where you can't or don't need to play loudly, such as playing and recording at night, practicing with headphones and recording live directly into the board. It is the first all-tube guitar amplifier designed to do this without any additional equipment and with a minimum of effort.

The GP/DI features a true all-tube preamp and a transformer-coupled, one-watt tube amplifier that drives the internal reactive load. The internal load is deactivated when an external speaker/box is driven, allowing you to play back the recorded power of the GP/DI - live and simultaneously directly on the desk or FOH - with your favourite speaker.

The unique tunable Cab+Mic function allows you to shape the internal speaker sound and adjust the frequency response of the high frequency microphone, achieving a critical microphone proximity that is not found in any IR-based speaker model. The result is a recorded sound and a touch sensitivity that cannot be achieved with modeling equipment alone. And if you want to use an external IR speaker model, you can simply disable the Cab+Microphone function with the bypass switch on the front panel. Yes, we've thought of that too...

The proprietary Fryette-Valvulator tube buffer/direct function allows you to send your guitar signal with unprocessed pickup level unhindered directly to your recording interface. Or you can connect this signal path directly to the front end of any modeling product to enhance the sound and dynamic performance of any modeling product.
