In the complex and often misunderstood world of compressors and sustain pedals, Bjorn Juhl has designed a very simple pedal that covers all of your needs: The One Control Lemon Yellow Compressor is simple, versatile and promises a high quality tone. The pedal has separate Level, Gain and Ratio controls, which simplify and speed up the musician's ability to add compression for everything from 'chicken-pickin' to rhythm and slide guitar styles. In classic BJF style, these controls do exactly what they say - Ratio controls compression ratio from 1:1 up to 5:1, Level controls the pedal's output volume, and Gain controls the VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier) up to 18 dB. There is easily enough Gain and Level to tastefully overload the input on your amplifier giving you a very slight but tasty distortion.  Depending on your style of play and your tonal requirement, there is a Sustain switch on the side of the pedal which will allow the lower transients while still compressing the weaker signals. This makes for longer sustain and easier playing. The Lemon Yellow Compressor can be used for all guitar styles, and also for bass and keyboard.
